Why does modern life always feel rushed is something I catch myself thinking almost every morning. Alarm rings, phone lights up, notifications already waiting like they didn’t sleep at all. Before you even brush your teeth, your brain feels late for something. And half the time, you don’t even know what.

Everyone is busy, but no one knows with what

Ask anyone how they’re doing and the default answer is busy. Not tired. Not stressed. Busy. Like it’s a personality trait now.

What’s strange is that a lot of this busyness doesn’t come from actual work. It comes from constant mental switching. Messages, emails, reels, news, reminders. Your brain never sits still.

Your body might be sitting still, but your mind is sprinting.
